Branch Operations

The system behind every counter in a 3,000-branch network

We keep this client’s name private. The client is real, and so is the system.

The branch counter’s send-money form: the sender found by customer card number, the receiver filled in, and the transaction details and total beside them.
The product’s own screens, white-labelled as Branch Operations: its name, logo, colours and type are ours, not the client’s. Names and figures on screen are samples.

The challenge

Every day, branch staff across the country handle money transfers, cash payouts and bill payments for walk-in customers. Each of these runs through partner systems, and each customer has to be identified and verified. The client needed one system that every branch could rely on, that worked with its partners, and that kept every transaction secure and traceable.

What we built

We built the web system that runs the client’s daily branch operations. Staff use it to send and pay out money within the country, take bill payments for partner companies, release payouts from partners, and handle remote transactions. New customers are registered and photographed at the counter, and their records go into the company’s central customer database. Only approved devices can log in, each user sees only what their role allows, and head office gets transaction reports for every division.

The review step before a send: sender, receiver, other information and amounts, with Confirm send money.
A remote transaction for a branch whose system is offline: the branch, operator, reason and control number, above the send-money form.
Searching registered customers by name, with biometrics and face recognition, and seven matching records with card number, address, birth date and ID.
A customer’s KYC record: their details and addresses, the photo taken at registration, verification and compliance panels, and the record’s history.

The result

  1. The main system for branch operations across the whole network.

  2. Built and improved over five years, from 2020 to 2025.

  3. Every transaction is tied to a verified customer, an approved device and a named user.
