AI training for employees, built around their work

Give your team a task they recognise, an approved tool, and time to practise. Symph's corporate AI training brings role-based workshops into the Activate phase of an AI transformation engagement.

Plan an AI workshopSymph's AI transformation approach

Start with a workflow the team already owns

A finance team reviewing a spreadsheet needs a different workshop from a sales team preparing proposals. We shape the exercises around each role's inputs, decisions, and approval steps. Employees practise prompts, compare the output with source material, and decide what a person must check before using it.

Before the session, agree on the audience, its current skills, the approved tools, and the workflow to practise. Use sanitised or synthetic examples until the data owner and IT team approve real company material. Workshops should leave employees with an exercise they can repeat and a clear route for asking questions.

Role-based AI workshop examples

These are sample exercises to discuss when scoping your workshop. The final agenda depends on your team's responsibilities, available tools, and data rules.

Leadership and managers

Review an AI use-case proposal against a business goal, expected benefit, data requirements, and risk.

Name the accountable owner, the evidence needed for a pilot, and the condition that would stop it.

Marketing and sales

Draft a campaign brief or sales proposal from an approved product sheet and a sample customer request.

Check every product claim and remove invented features, customer details, or promises before approval.

Operations and customer care

Turn an approved procedure into a response draft or a checklist for handling a sample request.

Trace the answer to the procedure and identify exceptions that need a person to decide.

Finance and people teams

Summarise a synthetic spreadsheet or prepare a policy explanation from an approved document.

Reconcile figures with the source and keep personal, payroll, and confidential information within approved systems.

IT and engineering

Practise a coding-assistant task or assess how an internal knowledge workflow would access company sources.

Review generated code, tests, permissions, and failure cases before anything reaches production.

Gemini and Google Workspace workshops

For teams using Google tools, we can scope practice around the accounts and features available in your environment. Confirm licensing, administrator settings, source access, and data-handling rules before selecting exercises.

Google Workspace practice

Discuss exercises around email drafts, document preparation, meeting follow-up, and spreadsheet analysis. Employees compare an AI-assisted draft with the original material and apply their usual approval process.

Gemini Enterprise practice

Discuss how employees would find and use approved company knowledge. Include source checking, permission boundaries, and questions the system should decline or route to a person.

Tool access and workshop scope are separate decisions. An employee should understand which account to use, what information they may submit, and when a manager or IT owner must approve a new use.

How we scope an Activate workshop

  1. Agree on the task and boundaries

Choose the role, one recurring task, suitable example inputs, and the rules for tool use. Define what a good output must contain and what it must never invent.

  2. Practise, check, and revise

Work through the task hands-on. Give the tool context and constraints, inspect its answer, check sources, and revise the prompt when the output misses the task.

  3. Prepare the team to repeat it

Identify team champions, record usable prompts and review checks, and agree on who will collect questions after the workshop.

Plan the follow-through before the session: ask employees to repeat the approved task, review a sample of the work, and record errors, rework, and continued use. Attendance alone does not tell a manager whether a workflow is useful. In Sustain, adoption tracking and refresher sessions help the team respond as models and tools change.

Frequently asked questions

How is corporate AI training different from an individual course?

Corporate AI training starts with a team's shared workflows, approved tools, and company data rules. Employees practise tasks relevant to their role, and managers agree on review, support, and follow-through. The workshop scope is discussed with the organisation.

Can you run a Gemini or Google Workspace AI workshop?

Yes. Symph can scope workshops for teams using Gemini and Google Workspace. The agenda depends on the tools, licences, administrator settings, and data permissions available to your employees.

What should we prepare before an AI workshop?

Choose the employee roles, a recurring task, and the tools IT has approved. Prepare sanitised or synthetic inputs, name a business owner and an IT contact, and agree on the checks employees must make before using AI output.
