Metro Retail, one of the largest retail chains in the Philippines with over 60 stores nationwide, recently took a major step to boost team productivity and streamline operations— they turned to Google Workspace, with our team at Symph providing the support to help them succeed.

We organized and facilitated a workshop tailored to Metro Retail's diverse team, focused on unlocking the full potential of Google Workspace to optimize workflows and communication across the company.

A Collaborative Day of Learning

We kicked the workshop off with an enthusiastic group of 31 participants from various departments within Metro Retail. The atmosphere was all about learning, sharing, and discovering how Google Workspace tools could be used to simplify tasks and improve efficiency.

Throughout the day, the team gained practical skills that directly impact their daily operations—like their administrators managing user access to enhance data security and setting up two-step verification to protect sensitive information. 

By mastering these tools, Metro Retail's team learned how to create a safer, more efficient workplace, reducing risks and ensuring smoother digital workflows across the organization.

Practical Solutions for Everyday Challenges

As the day continued, we moved to end-user training, focusing on real-world applications of Google Workspace tools like Google Meet, Calendar, Docs, and Gemini. 

The training centered around practical scenarios, such as “How can I quickly create incident reports?” or “How can I find my team’s common available times for a meeting?” These scenarios were tackled through live demonstrations and interactive sessions, allowing participants to learn by doing.

To keep things engaging, we also included group activities and challenges where participants demonstrated solutions to problems like: “An employee left their phone or laptop in a public space, and it was stolen. You need to ensure no sensitive company data is compromised. What do you do?”

Those who answered correctly won gift cards, adding a touch of friendly competition. The training was all about practical, everyday use—what matters most to a busy team like Metro Retail.
