So you want to build a mobile app for your business. Here’s something to consider.

April 25, 2024

In our 10 years of building software for clients, it has been a usual encounter that clients approach us wanting to have a mobile app built for their business.

We’re always delighted to work with clients who are taking action to go digital because they believe it’s best for their business… because it is. Mobile apps are understandably the go-to for a digital solution—mobile apps are exclusive to your brand, they are more accessible, and in some industries and markets, if you have a mobile app, you stand out from the competition.

At Symph where we believe that technology is the tool that must adapt to business needs, we always make sure that whatever we build is the best option to solve the client’s challenges because if it doesn’t, it will just be money and effort that would not be worth it. This is why, when we are faced with the idea proposition to build a mobile app, we always ask:

What about your mobile app will make the user not uninstall it?

More mobile apps are being launched by the hour. Users install those they think will be valuable to them, and more importantly, they keep those that actually show to be valuable to them. If it doesn’t, they uninstall it. We all know this. We’re users too.

You have limited storage on your phone and you really only keep apps that solve your challenges or make your life easier like no other tool could. This is the same for your potential app users. Think about your market: What apps solve their problems better than any other tool could? Then ask yourself: Will your app be the same necessity?

If the answer is yes, then this is something definitely worth spending more time to explore on—We then start delving onto what features your app should have, what the user journey will look like, what the end goal is for every user, and more.

If the answer is no, that’s an opportunity to consider other forms your solution could take—it could be a website, a web app, a Chrome extension, or something else. Whatever it is, it is our promise to be with you in that journey of discovery and we commit to you our expertise in technology to help you make the right decisions. After all, our mission is to empower you to achieve your business goals in the most efficient way possible.
